Guest
Not being 100% familiar with the admin's handling of database functions, I assumed that deleting a category folder would remove it and all of it's products from the database. Now I see that it does not and I realize there is a module to properly do that now. My problem is with the items I already tried to remove by deleting the category folder, they are now without category so they cannot be seen or deleted through the admin panel. I have two questions; 1. How do I find these products and how do I delete them without going into the database, through the admin panel? -or- 2. How do I find and delete them through the database if I am more advanced user?
Guest
Why are you worrying about this? Orphaned products are not seen on the store side because they are not assigned a category to be seen. They're not harming your database so just leave them alone.
Guest
I am afraid they will slow down the database...

If you delete a category and the products stay, then it's something wrong with the customizations you did to your store.
