ActiveTuning
If this is done already, please inform me where I can find it. My idea is that for each product you should have the ability to override shipping to give a set amount. I know you have it so that you can make a set price for shipping...but it's for ALL the products...What if I just want one to be a set price... Just a thought. ActiveTuning
Oh and the most useful application I figured is if for just certain products you want to offer free shipping....not on everything though. Doesn't it make sense to at least have an override for each product...
Ajeh
If you just want free shipping on some products, then add in a free shipping module and set the product weight to 0. Then, when the cart weight is 0 the whole thing used the free shipping module. If only a few things are 0 weight, then only those things with weight effect the shipping module weights. This works well for things like UPS, FedEx and USPS ... There is a Free Shipping and Payments contribution for this that I made. I am pretty sure I have the current version in the contributions as well as on my site. I have not, however, adapted it to work with the per item shipping module, but that could be modified to work with that as well.
getitdone99
Hey this idea has helped me also! I do have one question, it might be really simple . . . I go into the admin --> Modules --> Order Total --> Shipping --> Edit Then I change "Allow Free Shipping" to "true" . . . then I type in "0" in the "Free Shipping For Orders Over" field. When I save my edits it turns my "0" into dollar amount of "$0.00". I want it to be weight, like zero pounds, not zero dollars. How do you suppose I do that? Your advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!!
