Guest
Help! Am I doing something wrong or does the demo work this way? I configured the cart with correct company info, and enabled the "Paypal" payment module. To test the system, I set up a fictional user in the demo and bought an item. The payment processing was sent to Paypal and naturally I got a message that the fictional purchaser doesn't exist on Paypal yet. THEN I notice that the transaction was trying to SEND money from my company's Paypal account to the purchaser :?:, instead of the purchaser sending money to the company. Yikes! Every time someone "buys" something, it will suck the purchase price from my account! Is this just a demo-program thingy? Or is there something I have to change! Ajeh
Did you set up your paypal address for the PayPal shipping to use?
pbreit
It sounds like this might be related to the PayPal system pre-filling the email address box. Since you are using two PayPal accounts on one computer, just make sure you use the correct email address when you log in. You can avoid accidental payments by using different passwords for each account. Patrick Breitenbach

unistar
As per the PayPal site they say that to test you would set up a second account with them (you are allowed two (a regular and a business account)). Unfortunately you also need two different credit cards, bank accounts, etc. And make the refund within 30 days...
