osCommerce

The e-commerce.

confirmation emails not getting sent/ orders not being processed at paypal

Recommended Posts

Finally got the credit card to process with pay flow pro module. (or I thought I did). The order shows up in the admin area and says pending. However, I am not getting a confirmation email and when I check pay pal to see if the payment went through, it's not there. I also am not getting emails from the contact us page. I'm waiting for a response from my host with questions as to whether I need to use SMTP or sendmail. We have just switched everything over to a linux server as the credit card would not process on a solaris server. It has been a challenge to say the least as almost everything has been mucked up as far as the server goes. I'd appreciate any suggestions as my host is not familiar at all with osCommerce and I do not (and do not want to) understand server lingo.

Thanks in advance!

Your host should provide the server support. If they don't, change to mine.

Questions about paypal should be in the support thread for the paypal module that you have (there is more than one). Sound like you need a paypal ipn.

If on linux, you need sendmail. This is for emails from your store and nothing else.

what host do you use? I'm seriously considering switching. It's been a complete nightmare. I've tried send mail and smtp and nothing works.

thanks for the reply.
