ilfourmboard
Hello all, first post, but second install of this software. Running into an issue and I am not sure why. When I attempt to install the software, after I enter my Database information, it comes back with the error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (2)'. This error is given back to me when I enter 'localhost' for the 'database server' field. However, when I enter my Database IP address as this: '205.178.146.26', it comes back with the error: 'Lost connection to MySQL server during query'. If anyone knows why this is happening please let me know. I will include more information for other readers to make informed replies. .htaccess file information: # $Id: .htaccess,v 1.3 2003/06/12 10:53:20 hpdl Exp $ # # This is used with Apache WebServers # # For this to work, you must include the parameter 'Options' to # the AllowOverride configuration # # Example: # # <Directory "/usr/local/apache/htdocs"> # AllowOverride Options # </Directory> # # 'All' with also work. I am running a Unix platfrom with a MySQL 4 Database. Thanks in advance for your help, any speedy replies are most welcomed!!!!!!
