jef3966
I am building my website at http://www.knowledge-systemsinc.com/catalog. I know the name is long, but I am going to register a shorter domain name once I have this kink worked out! It is being hosted by hostcentric.com and they only offer a shared hosting platform. They said that they do not offer a dedicated hosting solution and that is what I would need or would have to locate a dedicated hosting company. The certificate shows *.hostcentric.com. When I enabled SSL, I received a certificate error. I can fix this by changing the configure.php script, where https: is defined, to https://protected.hostcentric.com/jef3966/catalog. This works! However, when customers see the address change they might become suspicious when knowledge-systemsinc.com becomes https://protected.hostcentric.com/jef3966/catalog/... and I do not want to lose any business. Is there any way to create an alias for the domain name so that the certificate will work without changing the address or any other work around for this? Any help, guidance, suggestions, or solutions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, jef3966
