askwar
Hello. I've installed osC on my server and am now setting it up. While doing this, I've changed some files thru the admin web interface. There I added the Euro currency character by entering € and also other "special" characters like middot (·) or more normal characters like quote " or german umlauts like ? (ä). Uhm, what I'm getting at: I entered these characters the "html" way; ie. " for ". When osC saved the file, the characters were converted to just the single character ". For " this is no problem; however for € this IS a problem, since the iso-8859-1 charset (which I'd like to use), doesn't have the single character representation for €. So the only way to display this, would be to use €. How can I make osC to *NOT* translate these characters when saving? Thanks, Alexander
