Hi

I was wondering if the is possible..

Say I have two sites - both the same product info -

I want to share the db but the sites are on two separate servers -

part of config files

site 1 define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://site1); // eg, =http://localhost]http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

site 2 define('HTTP_SERVER', 'http://site2); // eg, =http://localhost]http://localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

site 1

define('DB_SERVER', 'Http://www.thesamecom/'); // eg, localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', '****');

define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', '******');

define('DB_DATABASE', '*****');

define('USE_PCONNECT', 'true'); // use persistent connections?

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql'); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql'

site2

define('DB_SERVER', 'Http://www.thesamecom/'); // eg, localhost - should not be empty for productive servers

define('DB_SERVER_USERNAME', '*****);

define('DB_SERVER_PASSWORD', '****');

define('DB_DATABASE', '****');

define('USE_PCONNECT', 'true'); // use persistent connections?

define('STORE_SESSIONS', 'mysql'); // leave empty '' for default handler or set to 'mysql'

Is this possible ? and how can I find the exact path to my db on my server --I did run phpinfo and could not work it out from there ...

I know there is multisite/multiple site contribution... but I think that is on the same server...

thanks

Rusty

No it is not possable. Your shops must be on the same server, host.
