remove the create an account

Hi how is this done I want to remove the create an account process I think it's putting people off I would like to have some sort of contact details so that I can let customer know of any updates and new products b great if anyone can tel me what they have done instead.

I'd like to do that too. You still need delivery details but it should be possible to enable the "buy now" button in the product listing and just take shipping details.

 

Anyone know how to enable this? tried from ADMIN but doesnt show buy-now unless price is hidden from thumbnails.

Also putting a statement on home page telling visitors that an account is not needed might stop putting people off from buying.
