Free Geekfitters t-shirt to the person who can help me fix this. That's right, I'll send a free awesome Geekfitters shirt of your choice to whoever can help me fix this. My Affiliatte mod isn't working, and I'm guessing it can be solved 1 of 3 ways.

1. Add a class for affiliate files: Does anyone know how to write a class script?

2. Somehow edit the root file to include the affiliate files. Any thoughts?

3. Fix the excludes function. For some reason, when I try to exclude affiliate files, they aren't named right. For example: affiliate_help_1.php comes up in the Excludes list as affiliate_help1.php. Is there any way to fix this?

This is the actual error I get when clicking on the affiliate_help_1.html file:

Warning: require(affiliate_help_1.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/geekfitt/public_html/root.php on line 145

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'affiliate_help_1.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/geekfitt/public_html/root.php on line 145

Thank you in advance.

Best,

Chris

Great contribution, even installing on a heavily modded store, no conflict issues. I do however have a small problem. I can't seem to get it to recognize links that are called in from a subdirectory. There is a simple tabbing system that I'm using for the product_info.php page (descriptions and so fourth) that make a call to html and/or php pages located in the root directory of the store. The tab script does show up in the product_info.php page, just not when it involves the particular tab which has iframe tags in it being pulled in from the database. However when I turn off the master switch, all is well.

I seem to remember reading earlier that it hasn't been fitted to function this way, but was wondering if there is any fix for this, or is it something I have not included yet?

Also, I did have to apply this fix posted earlier to the admin:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteRule admin - [L]

For anyone that was having similar admin login issues, it fixed cookie_usage page/login issue.

Hi enigma1 - I was wondering if you could help me out with another little problem concerning SEO-G.

I managed to get the contribution working on the base osC installation (with the test db and such) perfectly, apart form that one little jitter with the reviews which you fixed (thanks again).

The problem I am having now is that I have copied that installation and built a new store on to it, removing the old default products and replacing them with the actual products. Unfortunately, now SEO-G isn't recognising the links. I've tried emptying the SEO-G db tables and refilling them with the new data, but still no luck. I was wondering if you could have a look at it and see if you can figure out what might be wrong, or where I'm going wrong with it.

I've been following your instructions on setting it up, but still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll send you a PM with the offending site link in if you agree to have a quick look at it.

Thank you.

Hi again,

I've figured out why the SEO'd URL's aren't working.

The database contains links to the old directory in the table 'seo_url'. Is there a way to renew the database to include the new base URL?

If I were to empty the SEO-G related tables, would ti repopulate with the new data?

Cheers

Hmm, OK.

I *thought* I'd figured it out - but evidently not.

I'm still just getting a white screen when I try to go to a page with SEO-G switched on. It would also seem that I cannot populate the DB without going to the page.

As before, since I am now out of ideas, any help would be vastly appreciated.

Ok i just recently installed this contributions and i have had no problems so far except after installing SEO-G, when clicking on products it makes the META TAGS at the top "NAVBAR_TITLE: My Site Title". I have Meta Tag Controller. This is very important to me because of SEO, etc.. Anyways, you can see an example here. If you look at the top you will see it. Meta Tag Controller usually uses the product name and inserts it here. I need help ASAP. Thanks in advance!!

I have SEO-G already installed on my store but I want to put FCKeditor on it now but some how its not working it keeps going to cookie usage page (default page not found error page) which i think its because FCKeditor has .html pages and SEO-G works with .html urls thats why i think they are conflicting with each other. I was wodering if there is any way that i can have them both or its not possible? if not are there any alternative to FCKeditor and product description tab?

Thank you

Hello, I've installed SEO-G on my shop WWW.RIBERWARE.COM ... It works great, the only problem I have is with the "visit this products webpage" link on all products... instead of a "/" all my links have been chaged with a: "%2F" , and the redirection doesn't works...

This is an example:

"http://riberware.com/redirect.php?action=url&goto=wdc.custhelp.com%2Fcgi-bin%2Fwdc.cfg%2Fphp%2Fenduser%2Fstd_adp.php%3Fp_faqid%3D1536%26p_created%3D1180112783"

Any thoughts?

I have a slight issue that I don't know how to fix.

I installed this over the weekend and had everything working correctly. However we decided to move the location of our store and now things are a little messed up.

my original setup:

http://domain/store/

http://domain/store/admin

we have now moved to

http://domain/

http://domain/admin

The Friendly URLs are now working .....BUT.....when i go to view who is online in my admin panel it tells me everyone is accessing the cookie_usage.php. I can successfully navigate my store, add to my cart, checkout, etc but the entire time it will say that I'm viewing cookie_usage.php

Any ideas of how to fix this??

Thanks so much!

I hope there's already a fix to my issue.

I installed the contrib following the directions exactly. When I mouseover a link, the url's are generated. But when I click on a link, I'm directed back to the index page. Has anyone solved this issue? Thanks.

hi guys,

im sure im been a bit thick today. ive installed the contribute. however i am having a problem understanding if it is suppose to do the following:

My site is index by google and when I search on the following http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=na...a+boxing+gloves. I am the second one down. This is my old url and when I used to click on it it went to the relevant product. However when I click on it now it just goes to the home page. Is this suppose to happen or is it possible to tell SEO-G to go to the new page? If it is possible how do I do it?

Thanks,

John

Is it possibly to use 2 subfolders with SEO-G

Example .htaccess

#-MS- SEO-G Added

Options +FollowSymLinks

RewriteEngine On

RewriteBase /folder1/folder2/

RewriteRule ^(.*).html$ root.php?$1.html&%{QUERY_STRING}

#-MS- SEO-G Added EOM

Hi

I get nicely generated URLs for all my pages :), except the pages that I reach by clicking the product_reviews box.

When clicked from the product page, the product_review pages (like all others) do get their proper URL.

I have this problem only when reaching a product_review page by clicking the product_reviews box (displayed on the right).

Is this a bug or development issue? Or have I overlooked an installation direction?

kind regards, Mikee

This is weird. I have exactly the same problem when I use the other SEO contribution: Ultimate SEO's.

This means that the problem is probably not in either of those two packages, but probably somewhere else in my OsCommerce code.

So, only when reaching a product_review page by clicking the product_reviews box, I get an URL like this:

.../product-name-pri-19.html?reviews_id=1

when clicking from any other location it looks like this:

.../product-name-pr-19.html

I am a bit confused that this problem appears in two seperate installations of both Ultimate SEO and SEO-G...

Would anybody have an idea where I went wrong?

I use OsCommerce MS2.2 (060817)

Thanks, mikee

Oops, these URLs were generated with Ultimate SEO (Sorry for the confusion).

The relevant URL for the product review page, when clicked from the product_reviews box, looks like this in SEO-G:

.../product_reviews_info.php?products_id=19&reviews_id=1

Again, this problem arises both in SEO-G and Ultimate SEO ONLY when clicking from within the product_reviews box...

I hope anyone recognizes how to fix this....

Hi,

I have 2 problems and 1 question:

* in my seo g configuration everything is double:

SEO-G Master Switch false Info

SEO-G Master Switch false Info etc etc

* when I 'm in de G - controller and press validate categorie links, I get the following error:

1146 - Table '******.TABLE_LINK_CATEGORIES_DESCRIPTION' doesn't exist

select m.link_categories_id, m.link_categories_name as name, if(s2l.link_categories_id, s2l.link_categories_id, 0) as missing_id from TABLE_LINK_CATEGORIES_DESCRIPTION m left join seo_to_links s2l on ((s2l.link_categories_id = if(s2l.link_categories_id,m.link_categories_id,0))) where m.language_id = '1' order by m.link_categories_id desc

* Does the Seo G also support multiple languages, so that the categories also change per languages?

please advise.
