pinklep Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 Is it possible for a customer to purchase items from your site when its not live? Im still in the testing phase but it appears I have an order. I m wondering if its fake! I am a Jedi, like my father before me!
tfetcho Posted April 21, 2007 Posted April 21, 2007 First contact the customer. If someone knows your domain then it is possible. Just because you are still developing the site somebody could stumble upon it and not know it is a beta version. This is why I usually have an index.html in place in the root directory saying coming soon or something...since it is usually the default file to show when someone comes to yoursite.com. I also put my development OSC installs in a subdirectory until it is ready to launch. Hope this helps. Tom
