Neon Phoenix Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 I have regularly been reviewing my sites logs to see what kind of traffic / search engine bot activity I am getting, but just a few minutes ago I found an entry that I am concerned about. 211.100.33.61 - - [19/Apr/2007:21:38:50 -0500] "GET http://check.76.162.109.11.v.80.pdx8.super...g/Provy_OK.html HTTP/1.1" 302 305 "-" "-" I know 76.162.109.11 is the static ip assigned by my webhost, but when I search 211.100.33.61 on arin.net the address belongs to "Asia Pacific Network Information Centre". In the whois database 9966.org is registered somewhere in China. I hope my concern is out of my own ignorance, but I do not have a clue. I anyone could shed some light on the situation please let me know. Thanks, Karl
dynamoeffects Posted April 20, 2007 Posted April 20, 2007 If there was only one hit, it was probably a script to check to see if your server is exploitable. On my sites, not a day goes by that I don't get several similar visits. Please use the forums for support! I am happy to help you here, but I am unable to offer free technical support over instant messenger or e-mail.
