defining colours for a single box

I am new to all this and have been left in the lutch by my web designer so am trying to configure my store on my own. I have set up a sub-site and forum but want the links to these areas to stand out from the main area of the site. My idea is to simply change the background colour and text of the info box that the links appear in, so it matches my header! This way the box should stand out from the other boxes in OScommerce.

 

I would assume that this is fairly easy to do, but can't figure it out.

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated
