neil r Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 I tried installing the shopping cart, firstly by uploading it to my ftp. Thats as far as i got before getting pissed off with it... I now have the catalog folder stuck on my ftp and i cant delete it.Why is this?
neil r Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 Can anyone tell me how to delete this? Its the catalog folder, and inside is the admin folder only...everything else deleted. Why should i not be able to delete it,when i can delete anything else ive ever had on my website? <_<

Don't be discouraged if you find you have to install this again because you get really stuck. It gets to become fun after you poke around a bit and try some cool contributions. I installed mine from my server ipowerweb.com (mention american-rc.com). I am able to install it and delete it, and also access myPhpAdmin. Nice. Don't stop believing, hold onto that feeling.

Guest Posted April 19, 2007 Posted April 19, 2007 Some FTP clients will not allow you to delete folder that are not empty. Maybe give FileZilla a try, I havn't had any problems deleting non-empty directories. Also, it could be a permissions thing. I accidentally uploaded a file that was owned by a different user and I wasn't able to delete it (that was on linux, windows shouldn't have that problem).
neil r Posted April 19, 2007 Author Posted April 19, 2007 No your web server control panel, not the FTP program I dont know where or what this is? ive only ever used frontpage and then uploaded to my ftp... mmmm
