I tried installing the shopping cart, firstly by uploading it to my ftp.

Thats as far as i got before getting pissed off with it...

I now have the catalog folder stuck on my ftp and i cant delete it.Why is this?

Can anyone tell me how to delete this?

Its the catalog folder, and inside is the admin folder only...everything else deleted.

Why should i not be able to delete it,when i can delete anything else ive ever had on my website? <_<

Go on your Server and delete it there. Or try deleting it folder by folder.

Don't be discouraged if you find you have to install this again because you get really stuck. It gets to become fun after you poke around a bit and try some cool contributions.

I installed mine from my server ipowerweb.com (mention american-rc.com). I am able to install it and delete it, and also access myPhpAdmin. Nice.

Don't stop believing, hold onto that feeling.

You will need to log into your c panel and delete it from the file manager

No your web server control panel, not the FTP program

Some FTP clients will not allow you to delete folder that are not empty. Maybe give FileZilla a try, I havn't had any problems deleting non-empty directories.

Also, it could be a permissions thing. I accidentally uploaded a file that was owned by a different user and I wasn't able to delete it (that was on linux, windows shouldn't have that problem).
