Search and What's new is not working

Hi, I installed 2.1 and looks great. However, when I use the admin program to add a new item the search and what's new will not pick that up. The search does work with the items that came pre-loaded with the sample database. I have verified this on 2 different installs and not quite sure why the search will not pick this up. If any body can help me out that would be great.

Thanks!

Is the product being added to your database?

You might want to consider 2.2

It says its a development release but I have it installed on my site and so do alot of other people. It works great for me. I tried 2.1 but I have alot less problems with 2.2

If you want to check it out my site is at www.bullislandmerchandising.com.

My colors are a little awkward right now but you can get a basic idea of how it functions.

Thanks! I was thinking of trying to 2.2 but was not sure how far it was in development stages. Also, do you know if the database from 2.1 works well with 2.2 ? My client has started placing items in the 2.1 so if not then I guess I will have to re-enter everything. So far I like this program a lot - even with the issues I have seen it still rocks! Thanks to those who made this possible. Mabey next year I will help with the next version. I do a lot of Perl and PHP programming also.

Sorry, I am not sure about the database.

I would compare the tables too see if there are any differences. Or worse case you can just back up your database and try it out. If it doesnt work you will have to re-enter the info anyway so you havent lost anything.

It will be well worth the trouble just to be able to use 2.2

Unfortunately I am not a programmer YET so my only contribution has been a small one but I am on my way. I look forward to being more helpfull with the project in the future. Still working on learning c++ an VB right now, but have learned allot just working with OSC.

I agree this program definately ROCKS :-)
