The e-commerce.

My head hurts...

Alright, I don't know what I'm doing.

Have a client who's trying to make an online payment option. And not just any payment option. Here's the idea:

1.) Company provides service to customer.

2.) Customer gets invoice in mail.

3.) Customer goes online to pay invoice.

4.) Goes to company's website and selects "Pay Here" or whatever, enters in the name / credit card info / invoice number / amount billed and hits submit.

5.) Gets rejected or confirmed.

6.) Prints out result.

7.) Goes on with their day.

My client also wants to be able to take credit card transactions over the phone where the admin assistant will use the same website to enter in information rather than using a terminal over the phone.

So, my question is: Can osCommerce do this sort of thing? And how in the world would I make it work? Is there any other solution? Client already has an account set up through Trust Commerce (Gateway company?). I'm new to this whole ecommerce thing. I've put together PayPal shopping carts before because, well, it's easy and ... monkey proof. Now, I'm not well versed on this issue.

Can anyone help me? And if someone can set it up, I'll be able to compensate.

Laters,

Mark
