Shop credit /User account credit/ Prepayed credit

As my products cost a very small amount of money 2$ to 5$ processing cards for every purchase is not an option for me.

Is it possible to have the customers buy credit on my site and than use it to effect small purchases (so that their account credit would be debited locally instead of externally processing the credit cards (no credit card processing fees))

 

 

Has anyone had experience with this before? Any ideas on how to realize this?

 

I'm interested in solutions and constructive suggestions.

Please no dumb comments such as: charge the processing fee to your clients or pay someone to develop a custom php shop for you.

install the gift voucher system, rename it to tokens and tell people they need to purchase tokens which are used to purchase from yoursite.
