dbullock
Has anyone ever tested large catalogs? If no one has then I will need to test it. For one store we currently use StoreFront, a commercial app written in ASP. We have 20,000 items in it and it will be growing to 50,000. I actually just ran into a problem with StoreFront when a customer went to place an order with 340 items in their shopping cart. The MSSQL DB was choking and caused the page to timeout. Some additional SQL indexes were needed, but the main problem is poor ASP coding in this product. I'm looking for an alternative to StoreFront and Osc looks incredible. I just need to make sure it can handle the size of the store and that it has all the functionality I need. My other option is to go with the new StoreFront that just came out that is re-written for .NET Thanks, Dan
