Product Views Question

I am working on customizing my layout the way I want it and am having a hard time with two different things:

 

1. How do I remove the Product Title and Product Price from below the product images on the New Products page? (each time I try to do this I get errors on my main page, so I am not sure exactly what I need to remove).

2. When I click on a category link, I want the products to be displayed in a table like fasion (like the New Products module on the main page) - rather than one column for product image, one column for product name, and one column for product price.
