Trusten
right, I wanted to put sub folders in my download folder. for example download/episode/ep1.zip download/episode2/ep2.zip problem is that it does find the file when they have to download it, however, when it's saved it is saved as "download" it does not show the extension .zip, and it does not show the proper file name. what can I do? I sorta like that because let's face it, it does hide the file better. because once someone knows the name of the file, what's to stop them from just linking to the proper downloads folder if they know osc shopping carts? what can I do? Ajeh
Using the .htaccess file that comes with the /download folder blocks anyone from getting to the files even if they knew the name. I could know your filename and folder name but with the .htaccess in place I cannot get to the files. Either go back to how it was, or redefine the location of the download folder in the configure.php file and see if that does not help you.

Going_Digital
Are you using a Mac? For some reason IE on a Mac downloads files delivered by a PHP page using the wrong name.

Ajeh
Also check if there are junk files in your /pub directory if you still are getting the download filename when you try to download. This is assuming you reset everything back to the normal /download directory for the files.
