Contact your service provider, they should be able to help or to tell what is wrong.

They sad that osCommerce was a third party application which is beyond the scope of there support.

They suggested I visit the osCommerce website for assitance.

They did suggest that the shopping cart was the promblom.

Sounds like you need a better hosting company. They should at least be able to tell you if their server is up and if your files are accessable from the internet.

I had one tell me that they did not give support for third party applications when I asked the path to the database so I could install my catalog and I could not find the path in their control panel. BOOM, GONE!

Are all your files on their server and if so are they all there.

on a widows OS you can ping you site to see if it is responding.

Go to Start, then Run, In the box type in cmd, in the terminal window type in:

ping yoursite.com

You will get the packets sent and the packets lost and the time for the response.

I would like to know what lame company you are hosted with.

So who is the second site and what does it have to do with the first.

YOu can't change the php template into a html index and expect it to work.

The "Unable to determine the page link!" error you are getting is most likely caused by having the Search Engine Friendly option turned on in admin. Try turning that off to see if it helps any.

Well, alot of your problem is that your using network solutions for a hosting company. ugh. I do like your site template though. Part of the problem is that your webserver does not recognize index.php as a valid default index page, or, if it does, you have another index page that it recognizes first, like a messed up index.html. If you were to rename the index.html to index.old, then it should resolve your index.php properly as long as your server supports index.php for a default index page.

Seriously though, I recommend getting a better host. Network Solutions SUCKS!!!!

New Installation

Upload the catalog directory to your server using FTP.

All PHP files must be uploaded in ASCII mode, not binary mode.

Upload the catalog folder which includes the admin folder to your document root

(public_html, www, htdocs) using FTP.

Using phpMyAdmin or another tool, create your database and user, and assign that user

to the database. Write down the name of the database, username, and password for this

database for the database installation procedure.

Open your web browser and go to http://yoursite/yourcatalog/install/ and click on the

Install button.

The following instructions will guide you to configuring the online store for your server.

If this is a localhost that goes to http://localhost/yoursite/yourcatalog/install
