General Question- Accept and Process Credit Cards

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I am looking for the simplest way to accept and process credit cards through oscommerce. Does anyone have any comments on the google checkout system yet?

I would really appreciate any advice!

Thanks a lot!

this sort of question has been asked and answered many times here - for the best answers do a search (tip: use google and append site:www.oscommerce.com/forums to the query)

Many people start with paypal to process cards as a starting option but google checkout i believe is becoming more popular.

The full option is an internet merchant account + payment gateway.

Hello,

I have downloaded OSC MS2 and customized my site for look & feel. I have paypal working, but I want to have option for Credit card too. When I enabled CC and tried to process an order, I get If that number is correct, we do not accept that type of credit card. If it is wrong, please try again. when I used valid card number. I searched entire OSC forum, googleed it, but got nowhere.

Can someone please help me? I debugged and it goes through all steps in validate, is_valid function in cc_validation class. But it returns 1 which is TEXT_CCVAL_ERROR_UNKNOWN_CARD in CC.php.

Please help me.

I am running this site locally on my laptop right now for development.

It is on Windows XP, PHP 5, My SQL, Apache 2.0.59

I don't have any CC merchant account or payment gateway... But atleast to validate cc, I don't think I need all that.

This is my first time putting together an e-commerce site, but I know programming concepts. This doesn't seem to be that difficult.

Anyone with suggestions..

JB
