shoppingcart101 Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 Hello everyone. I want to edit and view my files locally but when I open a browser and type in path "http://localhost/ name of my store/" I get the "Install" page. I just want to be able to view the main page of the store > "/name of my store/index.php". If I remove the "install" folder out of the file system it has a "password" issue. This is just to use my computer as the server so its more efficient to edit and view them before I ftp them live. Can I just edit and view my files locally without going through the whole installation, data base process. I understand going through that installation process once the "store" is ftp onto a remote server. Im not sure I am going about this the right way. My local server "ZAMPP" is downloaded and running properly. I Appreciate Any Help and Guidance. Thanks for reading. BD

BD Brian, you will have to install osC on your local server in the same manner as you would a remote server. It appears you already have your local server setup, so now all you have to do is the 5 minute installation of osC. I wasn't sure I had to do the same process on my computer (local server). Thanks for your Advice. BD
