Can the script be installed without register_globals being enabled

I'm curious if anyone has tried or if it's even possible to install the script without enabling register_globals in php.ini

I don't have access to this file and it's been disabled for "security reasons".

I am going to have to find a new server? If so, any suggestions?

you extract the osc files from the archive into the server, then you use phpmyadmin to load the dbase, edit the configure.php files to match your server and install the register globals module

So you skip the whole osc install part.
