knifeman Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 Hi All, I am currently using regions based rates for shipping. I have a table rate based upon dollar total for US, one for Canada, and one for UK. I do not have product weights in my database. Currently some products cost more to ship to California than I am charging. ( I am in NC ) Also some items are way overpriced for local customers, but I have averaged my prices and my table rates and it seems to be working OK. Now the problem. I want to add some items to my inventory that are extremely heavy. I would rather not have to enter weight for every item I sell, but I need some way to charge extra on these heavy pieces when ordered by customers in CA, OR, Wa etc. I looked through the shipping mods, but did not really see what I need. Maybe I need an attribute mod. Would one of them be able to increase the price of an item if shipping to a certain location? Does anyone have a better idea of how to go about implementing this change without completely redoing my current shipping module? Tim
