Help!

I have an OSC store here:

http://www.stephenkhayes.com/store

And everything's going fine... EXCEPT - when clicking on the individual categories on the left, it's showing me the products from *both* of my current categories, instead of just the one from the category selected.

AND - it gives both items the *same name* (name of the item that's supposed to be listed).

Can anyone tell me how I might fix this? Muchas Gracias!

Ok, easy to figure out as you only have a few items.

You probably used installed products from your install and just changed the names to categories and products that you have. But whether this is the case or not you have linked your products to each categorie that those products show up in.

Solution to this would be log into admin and unlink those products. On the Delete it will show all linked products and you just delete the one you want to remove the links from.

You have no product in the first catagory so it is showing the new products module. Place some thing in that catagory and see what it does.

Actually, I have one product in each category. In the Monthly Lesson category, I have "March 2007" and in the Kihon category I have the Bojutsu video.

But when you click on the Monthly Lesson category, both March 2007 and Bojutsu show up (though both are named March 2007) - and if you click on the Kihon category, both items show up again, though both are named "Bojutsu" this time. :(

Lola - thanks for the suggestion. I went in and it didn't appear as though the products were linked to both categories, but just to be safe, I created an all new category (Monthly Private Lesson), and then added the March 2007 product in that category from scratch... and then deleted the old product and category comepletely... and I'm still getting the exact same problem. :(

What have I broken?

Ok, you are setting up your categories wrong.

You have categories, sub categories and products. In admin open categories. add a new categorie. Then open that new categorie and add your product inside that catagorie.

Go to your store and click on that new categorie and you will find your product and your product only inside that categorie.

If this does not work there is a help file in the knowledge base, link in the above nav.

Yup - that's a pretty fair description of exactly what I'm doing, so it sounds like setting them up wrong isn't the issue. Thanks though.
