nu1 Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 Where are you tring to install it at? I'm installing it on my ftp site, I think I figured it out. Thanks, I'll post with more problems, (I'm sure I'll have them!) as they come up! Mark
usernamenone Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 You should first read the documentation.pdf file located in your download, that is what that file is for!

usernamenone Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007  Not as hard as it seems. It is just a new learning experience. Good Luck.
nu1 Posted April 15, 2007 Author Posted April 15, 2007 You should first read the documentation.pdf file located in your download, that is what that file is for! Here's another example of my ignorance. I'm trying to install this on a subdomain and following the documentation I uploaded the catalog file to the site. And that's as far as I can get. After the upload, when I try to access the site I get this error message: Server Requirement Error: register_globals is disabled in your PHP configuration. This can be enabled in your php.ini configuration file or in the .htaccess file in your catalog directory. I'm not even certain what this means, I can locate these files but cannot do anything with them.
usernamenone Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 There have been many register_globals issues with oscommerce. Read these and try to resolve the register globals issue with out the contrib first. http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=register+...ss&ei=UTF-8
