dogdogscrew Posted April 13, 2007 Posted April 13, 2007 my 2 osc shops moved to hosting company, but all order/enquiry email goes to client's SPAM FOLDER. At least I know our ISP SMTP sents out emails never classified SPAM. Question is how to config the exisiting osc shops use my ISP SMTP server. Thanks all here.
lostndazed Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 I hesitate to say "it can't be done" because I know that almost everything can be done. In this case, I don't believe that OsCommerce is set up to send mail THROUGH your ISP. IF your osCommerce website mail is seen as Spam, then your ISP would likely see the mail coming from your domain as spam, too. Of course, you could ask your webhost company to follow the protocol to get themselves removed from a blacklist.

You could have the email from your server forwarded to some account you have setup, [email protected] for example, and then reply using that address. Although that give the impression of being non-professional, in my opinion. The best way is to do as lostndazed suggests and get your hosts IP removed from the ISP's blacklist.
