slanetx Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 I have multiple products but they typically fall into 1 of 2 shipping categories: 1. memberships - no shipping 2. physical products - flat shipping rates I need to be able to define the shipping rate for individual items, for example, if a visitor wants to purchase a membership + a shirt: membership - no shipping shirt - $4.05 Is this possible to setup without adding a contribution? If yes, how? Thanks "If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun." Katherine Hepburn
Captain Panic Posted April 12, 2007 Posted April 12, 2007 Hi there I reckon you could get around that issue by giving the memberships a shipping weight of 0.1, setting your shipping to 'table rate', and adding 0.1:0.00 (ie. free shipping for anything up to 0.1 in weight) - Obviously, any products you might have that weigh 0.1 you'll now have to mark as 0.2! Oh, and your customers will probably be told that their membership will be shipped to them! I don't see why that wouldn't work. Let me know. Cheers!
slanetx Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 That would probably work but I need to use flat rate shipping versus by weight. I know the shipping costs per physical item (for example: 1 shirt = $4.05). "If you obey all the rules, you miss all the fun." Katherine Hepburn
