I want to view files locally but I keep getting the "install page"

Hello everyone...I first thanks for the help I needed previously.

 

The issue I am having is I am trying to view my main page "index.php" but I keep getting the "Welcome to osCommerce Install page" > //localhost/store/install/index.php. I don't think I have to go through this process just to view my files after I edit them locally....or do I. Is there a folder or files I need to take out just to view my changes? I know I have to go through the install process when the "store" is up on a remote server & is going to go live.

 

I am using XAMPP and want to edit in dreamweaver.

 

Any advice? Thanks for reading.

Make sure you got everything setup correctly, like php, apache, mysql, your xampp (not sure what's that)...

 

After installing oscommerce, just delete the install folder.

 

Open browser and type http://localhost/[name_of_the_shop/catalog]/index.php ( [] is optional, depends how you set it up)
