after uploading the contribution, then retrying it a couple times with the original PayPal module removed the module still does not show as an option in my admin panel. I'll probably feel stupid, but what am I missing? Any ideas would be appreciated. I already feel stupid enough for a couple lost orders.

Do any of the standard payment methods install?

I'm having the exact same problem

could it be caused by the file paths ?

As per the instructions i uploaded the /ext/ directory to

./ext/modules/payement/paypal_ipn/ipn.php

and changed the permissions on /ext/ to 755

then in the admin i noticed that it says that the payment modules are located at

./includes/modules/payment/paypal.php

should I put ipn.php in the smae place as the others ?

I've tried putting ipn.php in ./includes/modules/payment/ but that doesn't work

I'ave also deleted paypal.php from ./includes/modules/payment/ which removes it from the modules list but deosn't bring up ipn with all the configuration options

anyone got any ideas on this ?

I too have just installed this and couldn't find it in admin. However though I was looking for Paypal IPN in the module list, it appears that the actual wording is Credit/Debit Card (via Paypal) as when I installed this it listed it as PayPal IPN on the right side of the screen.

Is this a stupid question... But i am new to the Oscommerce thing, where exactly do I upload the Paypal IPN found in the oscommerce paypal IPN v2.2?

My directory structure has no EXT directory...

I have

/public_html/shop/

and searched every where.. Do I create a new dir called EXT then upload to there??

Cheers

Mike

I'm having the exact same problem as well... I was disappointed to see that this thread was not resolved. I have absolutely no idea what is going on - there isn't any PayPal IPN, nor a 'Credit/Debit Card (via Paypal)' option in the admin. I have followed the instructions for installation perfectly, and copied the files correctly.

My customers are completely baffled by the default module, it's not displaying any of the orders... I need this new module installed as quickly as possible

Thanks for any help!

I think I know what the problem is... It may be to do with the simple fact that I am using the older ms2 version. The 'ext' folder is not included with this release, and it may not be compatible. Maybe I'll have more success with an older version of the module.

If not, it looks like I'll need to be upgrading... As far as I'm aware, the IPN is installed by default in the newer RC1 release anyway. I can't afford to loose any more customers, so I'll need to take that risk =\

If anyone manages to solve this issue, please let me know. Hopefully it can be helpful to others who encounter the same problem.

Dan.
