What is wrong with the support group here

I just started working with this product and already I am about to x it out because of the lack of support. I post an issue and see nothing being replied. I then look 5 minutes later and still no reply yet one post after me has 20 replies. Some one has to know the reason that the shipping address verification page keeps looping on some machines and not on others. I just found out this is not an every order issue, but does happen with the majority. I ask once more, help me figure this out!

Nobody here in the public forum is paid to post answers to a specific problem. Since you're new here you may want to have a look to the forum rules

what we know is that works with the stock osc.

so you need to start posting details about your problem so someone can understand and answer.

If you look at my post before this one, you will see that I gave a clear description of what was happening in my earlier post. While Im aware that there are no "paid Support" people here I know that this issue was in the list of bugs and never was a closed issue. So either there is no answer or someone forgot to document the fix for this issue. Im not here to rock the boat, I just need some advise so we can make some money.

basically noone can answer your question without viewing your 4 checkout pages coding. Obviously something YOU have done has stopped this from working, because many thousands of other peoples checkout work perfectly fine, as it did when you downloaded the software. So either roll back (you did backup and comment all of your changes, right?) to an earlier version before the changes were made, and recheck to see if it works. Even if you did post all of your checkout files, it's fairly unlikely that someone would load them onto their test server and then work through to see what you have done wrong, as this would take a fair amount of time, and is fairly beyond the scope this the forum.

You think you provided a clear description? I don't see it. To me is like something doesn't work in checkout in a single phrase.

And as of a bug you going to have a hard time convincing anyone, because it works with the stock osc. Why don't you test it here

https://demo.oscommerce.com

So start posting details (like code changes, environment setup, modules you installed etc) for your store.

ok it seems as though you want to help so I will tell you again, I just got tasked to help fix this issue. I was not the original programmer and did not do any setup now any change to it since I have been here. According to the owner, this issue of working on some and not with others has been happening since day one. Im not sure what else to tell you as I have no idea how this guy set this up. Is there anything you can think of that would make the checkout work with one pc, and not with the next. It is looping at the address verification page, and will not go to the payment page. Again thanks for taking some time to help.

To you Enigma, I paste the post I posted and ask what is the "stock osc"?

(ealier post)

Ok so I posted this issue once before about two days ago and received one possible fix which did not work. I really need some help, as my friend is losing business daily for his race shop when the customers cant check out they just go somewhere else. The issue is if you order a product and go to check out it sends you to the address verification page and then you cannot go any further it loops back to this page everytime you click continue. I didnt set this up, nor do I know alot about your product, so please help me get his store running again!

The stock osCommerce represents the default files, database and functionality demonstrated by the link I previously posted (demo.oscommerce.com). It is available for downlad:

http://www.oscommerce.com/solutions/downloads

Deviations from this have to be explained clearly for people to stand a chance to answer and possibly help you.

So if your store looks different (and that's likely the case from what you said) it means custom, and only you or whoever customized it knows about.

Thanks for the explanation. I'm beginning to see that I may have to create a new store then replace it with the existing. I appreciate the help.

you hopefully won't have to start from scratch - that's a lot of work.

I'd suggest downloading the stock program as mentioned above, and then use a compare program [such as winmerge] to look at the changes between the files in checkout_xxx.php (this is the most likely place that the problem is located at) and see if you can see the differences, and then try to work out how to fix it from there. Good luck :)
