Hi,

For some reason i thought this would be easy, but i am goimg round in circles, i cannot find the answer. What i am trying to do is replace the images on the homepage to product photos. The middle section photos would need to be fixed. (if thats the right word)

these look like individual images or perhaps a separate module attached in your catalog\index.php perhaps. You need to find how this is controlled (if it is controlled). So look near the end of that file after:

 } else { // default page
?>

which is the section that displays the home page mid content.

In the oscommerce admin go to categories and change the display picture for each category.

This is the part from the code you posted, that does the display for the categories images

The $category_icons holds these images. Find out where is constructed and post that code. Probably it would be in the same file (perhaps near the beginning?)

What i am trying to do is replace the images on the homepage to product photos.

If all you are wanting to do is change the image used for the "middle section photos" (Beds, Bowls, Dog Apparel, etc.) and you can't do it in admin. You can simply change the images that are currently being used.

Example:

The image that is displayed for "Beds" on your site is located at:

allpawstogether.co.uk/images/g_category_beds.gif

Just just change the name of the (.gif) image you want to display for "beds" to g_category_beds and place it in your images folder, removing or replaceing the, g_category_beds that is now there.

Hello again

I thought that i had sorted it, i am having problems changing some of the images , as there are several of each, with a different product name.

When i change the image to a photo, for example

the tags image changes both images for identity tags dogs and the identity tags cats, and in images/g_category_tags.gif but this seems to be for both.

I have manged to do the others, but now Im lost and going round in circles. Hopefully this makes sense.

Could anyone point me in the right direction where i should be looking to sort this out Please
