Hi,

I have 2 installations of osc in the same server, one is for test and the other one is in production.

The problem is that I've tested so many contributions and changes in the test osc that now I'm afraid is quite different to the real one. So I want to copy all files from the production installation to overwrite the test files, but I suppose I have to change the database connection data to avoid any change to the production database.

The question is if it's something to change the connection info or i have to do it manually, and in the last case, which files should I change, because I don't want to forget any file as the 2 installations are in the same server.

thanks

p.d. sorry for my english

THe problem is what you really want to do: you made a lot of changes on the test site, and now, according to what you said in your post, you want to overwrite the test site with the production one? Why?? People normally do the other way around if you are happy with th etest site. Whichever way, the only thing is need to do is NOT to overwrite th etwo configure.php while you overwrite all other files. THis way, the datbases connection will remain unchanged, ie, test site to test db, production site to productine db.

thank you for your answers ^^

I want to do it in that way because I test a contribution in the test site, and if it works, I apply it to the production site. But if it does not work, has problems with other contributions or whatever, usually I not recover the original state or delete the contribution from the test site. So thats why I want to do that, because I'm afraid that my test site has so many things installed (and errors) that won't really be a test site of the real one.

so if I keep the configure.php files everything will be ok? I thought there were more files with that information.

thank you for your help
