Automatically making a product inactive after at specified date?

We are considering using OsCommerce for a site that will be using the cart for event ticket sales. Is there a contribution or way within the system automatically to make a product unavailable for purchase (and viewing, if possible) after a certain date or time?

 

I realize this is easy to do manually by clicking the "inactive" red dot by a product, but, with the volume of events we will need to deal with, this will be difficult to maintain manually.
