Feedback on site

I could use some feedback on my site. Mainly on the readability of the text. I am getting mixed reviews. If anyone is willing to give me some feedback I would appreciate it.

 

How easy to read is the text against the dark background?

The colors were a bit much on the main page.

 

Once I clicked on a product and entered the site, they were better. The black helps a great deal.

 

I would set your store to fit 800x600 as on any larger display it is too hard to follow and things get too strung out.

 

You might consider using one of the multiple image add-ons so that your product images are physically smaller until clicked on to help improve speed and display time.

 

I have a section of an older site using that blue background and variations of color of the same pattern and it is very hard to work with.

 

Perhaps if you accented the Header and Footer with a solid color or used the blue just in the header and footer and a solid in the middle it would not take away from the store itself.

 

You have enough color with the products themselves and don't want to throw off the customer with such a rush of colors.

 

The green on the black looks sharp.

 

Also editing the images with the white and turning that transparent would help as well.
