WinstonSmith Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 Do osCommerce "contributions" like Simple Template System modify the OSC admin area / front end or do the implementation of their added features require mods to the HTML source code? I'm wondering what contribution to ask my web host to install in order to allow the use of _true_ thumbnails where a thumbnail of a product can be specified to point to a full sized image via a menu in the OSC admin area, a capability that I cannot find in the standard osCommerce page construction tool set.
kgt Posted April 10, 2007 Posted April 10, 2007 STS is a template system for the catalog (the customer-facing side). It doesn't really affect how the admin section works, per se. Some contributions that add functionality, such as choosing a thumbnail to display rather than generating one from the full-size image, would actually have a component that affects both the catalog and the admin sections. I see. Can you or anyone else recommend the best and/or most popular contribution that implements a true thumbnail option in the admin's site-building section? I will then recommend it to my web host provider (a tiny outfit that has only four subscribers).
