Help with shipping prices

On my shipping page I have a table of hardcoded shipping costs. I am using the UK Royal Mail contrib for the prices & weight, I have UK, Europe and Rest of world zones set and what I would like to do is to populate the table with the prices in the database. The checkout shipping pages do it so it must be doable. I just need a starting point because I've looked and got lost, probably because I should be working and not playing. :blush:
