kirikintha Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 by adding directory security to it. Nothing unreal exists
Lasseboy Posted April 9, 2007 Author Posted April 9, 2007 mm that did not help me.. I wonder in 1,2,3 steps to make a secure admin page Lasse
kirikintha Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 Sorry - the easiest way is to do it through your hosting company. There should be a place for it in your cPanel. It should say something like password protect directories or something. If you can't find that there are other contributions that do this, however I would stick with whatever is native to your hosting company. They should be able to walk you through it. Nothing unreal exists
ttetzloff Posted April 9, 2007 Posted April 9, 2007 For the best reaults you will want to contact your webhost and see if they have any "password protect directory" option that has a self installer. Most usually do if it has a cpanel or control panel. You could also do the following: Go to google, type in 'htpasswd file generator' Click on the website link Fill in the form. (remember these values) Upload to this file to the directory that you want protected and PRESTO! Also make sure that you change the permissions on this file to 644 once you upload it, otherwise password protecting this directory will make no difference. Hope this helps, :) -Tyler -Tyler
