disable buy now and checkout

I have tried two contribs to disable buy now and checkout, but I can't get them to work. I do not want to offer online shopping at this time, but want to set up the catalogue and enable the checkout later.

There is a contirb which is "disable_checkout" I am just working on my store so when I ran across this I got excited. The install went easy and it works great for when you want to open your store to viewers, but don't want them actually getting to check_out. I can't tell you the exact contrib, but if you search on disable_checkout in the contributions area you should fine it.
