Can't list product categorie - Error 1054

1054 - Unknown column 'p.products_id' in 'on clause'

 

select count(p.products_id) as total from products_description pd, products p left join manufacturers m on p.manufacturers_id = m.manufacturers_id, products_to_categories p2c left join specials s on p.products_id = s.products_id where p.products_status = '1' and p.products_id = p2c.products_id and pd.products_id = p2c.products_id and pd.language_id = '1' and p2c.categories_id = '8'

I get this error everytime I try to list a category's products, recently installed the shop and put up some categories and products but it wont work.

its probably happens because you're using an older version of osc with mysql5.x get the latest archive

follow the instructions to upgrade your store.

you can also add a small line in your configuration.php to help with mysql 5 probs:

 

 

define('DB_MYSQLMODE', 'MYSQL40');

 

right after:

 

define('DB_DATABASE', 'yourdbname');

 

that worked for me!
