New Install -- PHP Pages will not display

I have gone through the installation process with no problems (version 2.2 on Apache server).

 

However, now when I try to display the catalog/index.php homepage (or any php page for that matter), my browsers will not display anything -- it is completely blank to the browser -- no error message or code. In fact, Firefox asks me if I want to Download or Open the "php script" instead of displaying it like a normal php page.

 

My server is correctly setup for PHP4. The installation files, which are .php ran just fine.

 

Any idea what is going on?
