image structure like /category/imagename.gif

does anyone have experience with any other contributions that can upload an image structured like:

images/category/imagename.gif

 

instead of:

/images/imagename.gif

 

i've tried: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contri...h,image+folders but it didn't work. no errors or anything, it just uploaded the products as normal..

..and any that would work with "on the fly thumbnailer" contribution?

Take a look at contrib #3873 Image Sub Directory. Maybe that will work for you. HTH

i was hoping for a bit more dynamic feature that didn't involve any ftp-ing or anything like that :)

I'm not sure about the ftp part. This contrib allows you to specify the sub directory from the admin as you add or edit a product. Or were you looking for something else?

yes it does all of that neat stuff, but this is the part that's a bit difficult if you have dozens of categories and you want to organize your images according to category:

The directories must exist on the server, it will not create them and they must be writable. If they can not be found or or not writable the standard osC error checking will give you a warning. You'll have to know/remember the directory names (sticky notes are good).
