My store works fine, but when i try to edit any of the files via dreamweaver/ftp i get permission errors. By default my server set all files (not directories) to 444 which doesnt allow me to edit any of the files. I need to edit my files but dont want to have security leaks and dont really understand the concept of permissions and oscommerce. What should i set my php files to? what should i set my directories to? I need to set my files to atleast 755 to allow ftp or dreamweaver to edit these files.

If i set all the php files to 755, will that cause any security risks?
