Global discounts by brand or type?

hi,

 

I'm trying to get the specials section to give all the products by one manufacturer a discount, and also be able to give another based on product type.

 

Is there a way to create discounts based on product type, or product manufacturers?

You can probably use Easy Discount or Specials by category found in the contributions section.
