Please help with my box not showing,

Hello there,

 

I just installed the "happy hour" mod. I cant seem to work it out. My box does not show up on my site.

 

Circled in red: Could someone confirm?

 

J = month, M = day, A = Year ? Is this correct. There are no instructions on how this works in the read me files only installation instructions.

 

It all looks ok, but nothing appears on my site? Can someone please tell me what I may have done wrong? Its probably something really simple :-

Set the date a few days apaart and try it. If the times you put in where your local times your server times may have been past your settings already. If that doesn't work try switching the month and day settings.

My server time is the same (local) I already tried switching the dates and the time which is why I was asking what the J, M, A stood for. I tried adding both special price & happy price, tried just the happy price, tried just the special price, I tried leaving the first two dates for happy hour blank & just put times in the bottom two and vise versa. Im thinking Ive got something round the wrong way (dont know what) or maybe Ive left something out but Ive been over it again & again. It has to be something to do with the dates. :blink:

I just tried to set the status from green to red and I get this error:

 

Fatal error: Call to undefined function tep_set_specials_status_happy_hours() in /home/wwwshop/public_html/admin/happy_hours_specials_basic.php on line 35

 

What is this telling me. Did I forget something in installation? Any ideas?

 

Is something wrong with this bit of code?

Is this the one you installed? http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3568/ if so which package? The top one is not always the right one. I am at work and can't do a whole lot from here. I will try to install it on a fresh install of OSC and see if it works. It will be hrd to do at work so I may not get it done till later.

Yep, that is the one. Yes, it was the 18th Nov 2006, I did that cause it stated it was the full package and it was 2006 so I figure it was only 12 months ago and not way, way out of date.

 

Later is fine. Id like it working but its not an urgent thing. :)

First off the date format is DAY - MONTH - YEAR

If you click on the happy hour status red button, do you get the error stated above?

If I put DAY MONTH YEAR then click update. Look at the date its MONTH DAY YEAR :wacko:

I also found the code that sets those letters. I will have to finsh at home there to much to edit with what I have available at work. I will give you the changes by line number to fix the indicators on the date or can set up a file for you to down load.

I have not got that far with the install. All I have at work is notepad I don't like messing with code it notepad. If you look at the screen shot that was included with the package you will see why I say that.

I will be home in about 2 hours will get started on it then.

I installed 2 diffrent versions and neither will come up in the catalog. I get no errors but nothing shows in catalog.

ok I got it working. There was a fix mid way in the downloads for what was called the today bug. I will assemble a new packageand clean up the install text and upload it with the fix's.

The 2 by Howard will work the first one the box is always there the second is box of if no special. Has no header title.

 

Install the admin side of the top one if you want to see the double columns in admin. use the single file from 100asa if you want scolling with the header title and box on all the time
