bewitched123 Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 My admin login page is not showing, when I go to www.mysite.com/admin, it proceeds to the backend admin page immediately without prompting for username and password. This means that anyone can go into my admin page. I tried this on other PCs and same thing happen. This problem only arise suddenly few wks back, I don't have this issue last time. Is there some kind of bug or updates I need to fix? Can someone please help me?
dittones Posted April 6, 2007 Posted April 6, 2007 Meredith, To add another proctection layer to your admin side...rename the admin to something else and make the name change in your configure.php program...Then no one will know or can get to your admin side unless you tell them what the new path is... Most of the time the server you are hosting your store on has the ability to password protect directories through the server administration area so check with your host." I think you can usually do it on cpanel "Password Protect Directories"
