Brunswick Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I've set up my shopping cart on my own apache server and made all the mods. I intend to upload the modified PHP and CSS files to my host. How do I take the info on my local osCommerce dataBase and send it to my ISP's using PHPMyAdmin. I'm sure you can't just copy and paste. :) I have "exported" a backup copy and put in a subfolder as oscommerce.sql. What happens next? I have PHPMyAdmin installed on my local machine but would have to use the one on the ISP's server when working there. Do I perhaps upload the copy and then go from there?
spax Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 Actually, you can copy and paste. phpMyAdmin has that function. However, the easiest way is to make a backup from the store admin on your local machine and upload it to the backups directory of your live admin. Then just restore it. Be sure to upload in ASCII mode.
