UncleSteve Posted April 5, 2007 Posted April 5, 2007 I'm trying to make the 'update' email less impersonal, but I need help please :) The file I'm working on is catalog\admin\orders.php Basically, can anyone advise what bit of code I can use to add the customers name please? To put icing on the cake, what bit of code can I use to add the customers contact details (name, billing address, tel. No. and email address) elsewhere in the email please? Any help will be gratefully received :D Thanks in advance Steve Quote ____________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________

Thanks :) you can use email templates, something like this: http://www.oscommerce.com/forums/index.php?s=&...t&p=1043915 And it will be good at the top of this to have the sts framework to structure/personalize the emails further. UncleSteve Posted April 13, 2007 Author Posted April 13, 2007 And it will be good at the top of this to have the sts framework to structure/personalize the emails further. Hi Mark, I'm very pleased with the layout of all my other emails which I had already totally reformatted. So I'm wondering if I would gain anything further by adding the sts contrib.? I've run with your first suggestion and installed the 'Email Templates' contrib. which has given me the customers name as requested, but I'd now like to change the order of the fields as explained here. I've also spent a lot of time on trying to get the address to show, but failed :( (will work on this again later). If only I could get the fields to change over, that would keep me going :) Thanks again for your input :D Quote ____________________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________________
