Hello everyone. I was hoping someone can assist me or point me in right direction to set up a local server on my computer to test php files used in the shopping cart. I went on the "apache" download site and checked different mirror downloads but saw nothing that would be of use. Perhaps I am overlooking something. I just want to know the software to download to my computer to set this up. please I appreciate any help. Thanks for reading.

Provided that your computer uses Win XP Home and not Win XP Pro (which has Windows server installed already), then go to http://www.apachefriends.org/en and download XAMPP for Windows. It's a 1-click install and contains all you need e.g. Apache server, MySQL, PHP, phpMyAdmin etc.

Once installed switch to using php4 (it uses php5 by default).
